Diendoek

'Diendoek' or 'The Butler' is a wine stand commissioned by Artihove.

The shape is based on the harmonica-shaped wooden wine rack available in any household appliances store. The material used here is highly polished polycarbonate in black and transparent. The accompanying butlers’ towel is embroidered with the text:

‘Kunst is niet het brood maar de wijn des levens’ (Art is not the bread, it’s the wine in our lives’
